"Am I ever going to find out?" She smirked at him, not wanting to let on how much it bothered her that she didn't know what they meant, "Can you at least tell me if these words are good or bad?" she shot him a semi seductive look, something she had always been good at was getting what she wanted by using her appearance. She was hoping that it would somewhat work on him so she would at least have an idea of what he was saying about her. She sat down, popping a few of the berries he sat in front of her into her mouth. She picked up the tomato, biting into it.
This was probably the best meal that she had eaten in a while. She took another bite out of the tomato, wiping her mouth. "I normally just wander. There isn't much else to do. What about you?" She watched him as she sat down, her lips turning into a smirk, not taking her eyes off of his chest. She wasn't about to admit it to anyone, even herself, but the more time she was spending with him, the more she was becoming attracted to him. She had always been into being protected and that was all he was doing. she reached over, taking a piece of the meat, "Thanks for cooking." She said it nonchalantly, not wanting to make a big deal out of it.
"So, do you have any other powers? Since you didn't answer me last night." She smiled at him, leaning towards him. she ate the piece of meat, chewing it quickly. She was so hungry and there was so much more food than what she was used to. She didn't even know where to start. She ate a few more berries, not taking her eyes off of him.

Yes," he answered ambiguously. He saw her seductive smile and his heart stopped, and then he was breathing funny. Oh she wanted to play it that way? Well two could play at that game.... The animal inside him paced in a circle, as if caged and waiting for something to set it free. Her next question though took him by surprise, maybe not the question it self but the answer. He basically did the same thing every day. "I..." Well what was it? 'Check my territory, hunt, check it again, secure the den and sleep,' he thought with furrowed brows. But somehow all that came out was, "Hunt." Maybe she did have more against him with that smile than he thought. He had to snap out of it, all he could hear was the blood rushing in his head and his heart choke himself in his throat.
When she reached out for the meat he grabbed her hand, his grip harder than he meant, not used to her gentleness. He lightened his grip and met her eyes with a piercing gaze. "Watch out Anna. I might have saved your life but I'm not the safest thing to be around either," his eyes boring into her with a steady piercing gaze. His thumb inserted itself between her fingers and began to lazily graze her skin in a sort of seduction even Thor hadn't known he had. His eyes held hers as his thumb danced circles on her skin before he let it slip and went back to eating as if nothing had happened. He was more affected than he wanted to admit... but he probably wouldn't be standing anytime soon.
"You're welcome by the way," he said quietly, his voice gruff. "For cooking that is." He was trying not to smile, but God knew he had a grin ready for the occasion. He heard her other question and was going to speak up when he heard something... Or more like he didn't hear something. The birds had been quiet. His eyes darted to the window, immediately he heard the cry of the deer. It was horrible. He leaped up, shifting immediately into his lion form and bounded to the window. The lions!
The deer lay in a red washed bed of grass, blood pooled everywhere and the lionesses were fighting for the carcass. 'Trespassers!' he growled immediately and let out a roar of displeasure. He looked at Anna, his mind reaching into hers and he said, or rather thought, 'grab a branch of the fire and stay here, do NOT leave,' He growled and leaped out the window into the fray of the lions den. Roars and cries and growls. It was a bloody mess. Normally no one died in these tussles but the male, Chicago, wasn't around and the females were pretty good to take care of. He threw claws blindly until he found the alpha lioness. He leaped on her and grabbed at her throat, shoving her over into and threw a brick wall, which collapsed and tumbled in a heap, hitting some of the lions, which ran. He bit at her throat and when she twisted out of his grip she darted over him and threw the hole. From there she darted after her pride, both literally and figuratively. With the wounds she brandished, she wouldn't be head lioness for long. He then heard the roar that made his heart stop. Chicago, which could only mean one thing.... Anna.

"Yes?" she shook her head, laughing lightly. "I guess I'll deal with that for now." she smirked at him, dropping the subject for now. She would get it out of him, she was determined to know what his sexy little words meant. And what anna wanted, she got. "You just hunt?" She raised an eyebrow at him, licking her lips. "I've never learned to hunt more than hoping I can hit a rabbit with a big stone. I stick to berries and veggies that I find."
It was then that he grabbed her arm and she gasped lightly at the roughness. She didn't drop her eyes from his as he talked. Her face didn't show any emotion when she felt his finger on her skin but her breath hitched lightly and her heart sped up. When he let go of her, she leaned forward, resting her hands on his legs, "Who said I liked safe?" Her voice was barely a whisper but loud enough so it could be easily heard, she quickly leaned back and continued eating like nothing had happened. Two could play that game if he wanted to start it. She didn't notice that the birds had been quiet but she did hear the terrible cry of the deer.
she cringed, covered her ears until the cry had ended. She looked around nervously as Thor bounded away. There was something bad happening and she didn't know what. She placed her hands on the ground nervously, not sure what to do. Then she heard his voice in her head and she became instantly more calm yet confused. How was he doing that? she obeyed anyways, grabbing a stick from the fire. She moved closer to the wall, moving the light near her away. It wouldn't help if it was an animal, but it somehow made her feel better. Like she had control. All the noises were making her nervous and she had no idea what to do so she just sat there. Until she heard that roar. It scared her so much that she jumped up, holding the flame out. It wasn't like there was anything that Anna could do against an animal. She chewed on her bottom lip as she waited for Thor to return.

He roared in frustration when he didn't make the first leap to the hole, but the second time he didn't miss a beat. He landed with a thud on the floor, his tail flicking in agitation and his mouth gaped open, exposing his powerful and hungry teeth. He breathed in the repugnant smell of the room, it smelled like Thor, his enemy well before the bombings. The lion's eyes trained in on the girl, he took a steady step closer to his prize, his eyes deadly and unwavering.
Thor shifted into his leopard and sized up the window, it being the fastest route to his destination. He leaned down on his front legs and had his head locked on his target. He steadied his haunches and made sure he made it. With all his might he pushed off the ground and reached for the ledge of the window. He snagged something and held on. His muscles burned and he wanted to fly... god dammit. Why didn't he fly?! He felt stupid but it was too late. He dragged himself over the ledge and sprang into the gap between Anna and chicago. He shifted midair into his lion, he kept his head low and his body just as such. His tail twitched and he crept on the ground, his belly dragging. Chicago growled and then struck out, missing by a mile evenly. Thor growled and flopped on his back, pinning his ears and exposing his belly, his back legs posed to attack. The lion stepped forward carefully, his eyes darting to Anna. Thor took this moment to swivel onto his belly and lunge at his throat. He pile drove the lion like a line backer to the hole, and then both tumbled back over the ledge, slamming into the ground.
Things were black and then he realized he was in the thick of things. Chicago lay on the ground lifeless. Suddenly Thor started to shift erratically and then he started to walk in circles, getting disoriented with all the shifting and his sense changing on him. That's when he felt something slam into him He landed on a shift, he was a german shepherd. He let out a howl of pain and then turned and dug his canines into the lion, but it was pointless. He flipped a change frantically, wrong choice... he was now a deer. He picked one again randomly as he tried to fend of the lion, who had closed in at his throat, his shift moved his jugular just out of place, but Thor was now paralyzed with fear that if he shifted again he'd arrange himself wrong and he had to stay still. Suddenly he was aware of something torpedoing towards the two. He was a human again, his last shift had been helpless and he'd lost the energy. He sent out a piercing whistle, the last of his breath and he began to see in fuzzy lines as his head spun. The lion snarled and then suddenly released. His mind jumped back into motion, though he was still dizzy he could look around. He noticed two wolves fighting with the lion. There was a sudden yipe and he saw the little female hit the wall and not move.
Thor suddenly snapped awake, bleeding from the neck he shifted, forcing more blood out. He was a big timber wolf, standing higher than most. He lunged forward, latching his teeth onto the the arm of the lion and holding on if it was the last thing he did. Ulf leaped on the lion's neck while he was shaking Thor and Ran, the female who'd hit the wall, got up and leaped at his back. Overcome with enemies the lion panicked and started to run. Ran slipped off his back and nipped at his heels. Thor fell off his paw and lay on the ground unmovingly, and Ulf let go of his neck and joined in the chase. Thor moved, he shifted into his leopard and dragged himself to the dumpster. He shoved himself up the hilly steep slope and waited. Ulf and Ran returned, breathless and hopped up on the dumpster. Thor shifted into human form and helped the wolves up and then he dragged himself up with the last of his strength and he collapsed at the entrance and passed out.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 363636; width: 370px; padding-top: 30; padding-bottom: 30;]wretched, look at me, i've lost it melting on the table, in parking lots and markets. anna's eyes were darting around the building and she noticed something jump in. For a split second, Anna thought it was Thor and breathed a sigh of relief. That didn't last long. It wasn't Thor. It was an actual lion. She held out the stick, hoping to deter it. It wasn't like it would last long against the lion. suddenly there was Thor, standing between her and the lion. Finally, she felt her limbs relax and she dropped the stick to the floor, closing her eyes. She didn't want to watch this. she kept her eyes closed until she heard them fall. She crept along the wall to the edge where they fell, watching them halfway. she didn't want to know what would happen if Thor got hurt.
She cringed as Thor kept changing. That couldn't be good. she felt something whiz past her and it snapped her out of her thoughts, returning her to reality. Thor was human again but then he was a wolf. she cringed, he needed to stop changing. He was just going to wear himself out. She made her way back to where she was standing before, closing her eyes as she saw the animals run past her. After a few seconds when everything was quiet, she opened her eyes, noticing Thor on the ground. She stood up quickly, suddenly not worried about her own life. Her life didn't matter, Thor was hurt. She ran towards him, dropping to her knees next to him, "Thor... Thor!" Her voice sounded nervous, even to herself. She picked up his head, resting it on her lap. "Please wake up." She pleaded.
She finally took the time to study his injuries. His next was bleeding pretty badly so she pressed her hand against his wound, trying to stop the bleeding. at this point, she was holding back tears. She didn't know what to do. She didn't know how to help him. It wasn't like she could call 911 and tell them that she needed help. There was no one. Finally, she tore her eyes away from his neck and down to the rest of his body, her eyes coming to rest over his thighs and hip. She ran the hand not on his neck over one of them, "What the hell..." She frowned, chewing on her lip. She moved her hand away from his scars and placed it on top of her other hand so she could apply more pressure. she leaned her head down, resting it lightly on him, "Wake up, please."

His voices wouldn't work and he went to thought. 'Grab my pants,' he said, trying to indicate to the ones he'd shred in his shift. He motioned for her to apply it to his neck. He would have to concentrate if he wanted to heal. Ulf crept over from his corner, tail between his legs and he glared at Anna and growled. Thor sat up dizzyingly and snarled at the wolf in furiousity before he slammed into the concrete again and passed out.
Ulf stayed away in his corner and didn't give Anna a second look. Ran walked over just as waywardly and began to lick his other wounds, She darted away when Anna came back and then slowly crawled over on her belly, her eyes focused on Anna's movements.
Thor came to again, coughing and spitting blood again. He didn't open his eyes though and he stayed within himself, focusing on the cut. His minor ones were already rapidly healing. He felt like he had a bruise on a few of his bones from the shifting under attack and knew those ones would take forever to heal.
He breathed quietly and waited until he could no longer taste blood before he spoke, "Kattunge means kitten," he spoke hoarsely. He coughed again, but this time no blood, that was a good sign. "Help me over to the fire, kjæreste(hee-art-uh)," he said, standing up wobbly and leaning against the wall until she helped him with support to the fire.

Her face brightened when he woke up but it quickyl went away when he coughed up blood. As he tried to talk, she wiped the blood from his lips, nodding as soon as his thoughts reached her head. She didn't hesitate to think about how he was doing this. She was about to stand up when the wolf came up to her and growled. She clung onto his arm, her face covered in fear. Why did animals hate her so much? She was surprised when Thor sat up and growled. She caught him before he hit the concrete hard and quickly stood up to find the pants. Her eyes scanned the floor and she spotted them near the fire. She ran to them and picked them up, running back to him as fast as she could. She came to a stop on her knees, ripping small holes in her jeans.
She pressed the pants against his neck, wiping her hands off on them at the same times. She sat there, holding the pants against his neck and gazing at his face until she heard his voice telling her what kattunge meant. she smiled, laughing softly, "Nice choice of first words." She stood up with him, wrapping her arm around him, helping him over to the fire. She set him gently on the floor and sat next to him, keeping her arm wrapped around his waist. "You're an idiot, I hope you know. You don't have to get yourself killed to protect me." She frowned, removing her arm from his waist but remaining close to him.
She moved closer to the fire, rubbing her arms. She really needed to find a jacket. She was always cold. She picked a stick up, poking the fire. "You can't die trying to protect me." she turned, gazing at him. "You can't, okay?" she dropped the stick, licking her lips and turning to look at him, her back to the fire.

He winced as he stepped though, his bones were all bruised and every jolting step was torture. He latched onto her shirt in nauseating pain. He shivered when they finally reached the fire, but he wasn't cold. He listened to her words, ignoring his pain as the sitting still slowly soothed the burning bones. He would have to go find some medicinal herbs soon. He watched her mouth as she spoke about how he nearly killed himself protecting her. He almost laughed out loud for the silliness. He had been in much worse. He'd literally laid around for days bleeding out and floating in and out of conscious until he managed to let instincts kick in and force him to go find food or help or something.
"Come here my little kattunge!" he said, opening his arms and dragging her close. He realized then he was naked and wondered if she really minded, well she didn't seem to be worrying about it so he decided to do the same. "Now, tell me how afraid you were when I was injured," he said quietly, holding her close. He placed his lips at the base of her neck, kissing it softly, enjoying the feel of her heart beat. His mind searched hers quietly, looking for her thoughts in a lazy sort of daze as he lay there with her in front of the fire.
Ran came over and laid warily by the fire, enjoying it's warmth as she watched the two. Thor looked back at the wolf in a knowing way and smiled. The wolf let out a breath and relaxed. "She likes you," Thor said sweetly as he nibbled at the skin on her neck, nuzzling her quietly before he rested his forehead against the back of her chin. He reached over her to grab the bag of meat and winced at the pain but grabbed it anyways. He needed more energy and he'd lost a lot of blood, the only way to get it back was to eat. The gash on his neck was disappearing little by little but it was still there. Blood had stopped flowing and now it was just a pain in the neck, literally.

She glared at him as he pulled her close but it didn't take long for her to relax in the comfort of his arms. She started to talk about why she was angry but let her voice fade away as he kissed her neck, "Well.. I-I can't," She swallowed hard as he continued to kiss her neck as she tried to find the words to answer his question. She had just met this man and he had already saved her life twice and managed to almost kill himself to protect her. "Oh, does she?" Anna felt a smile grow on her face and she didn't know why. Why did it matter to her that an animal liked her? Because the animal was important to Thor, that was why.
Her smile grew as he nibbled the skin on her neck and she tilted her head, letting herself enjoy it. When he stopped, she frowned but looked at his face, "Now I can tell you why it made me upset since you aren't distracting me." She smiled at him, wrapping her arms around him, pulling herself closer, "If you die trying to protect me, you won't be able to protect me anymore." That wasn't her real reason, but frankly, she wasn't ready to tell him that she had taken a liking to him. She didn't want to tell him that when she had awoken before she had, she was cuddled up to him. He couldn't hear it from her yet, at least.
Her frown deepened as he reached over and he cringed, "You should lay down and sleep." She leaned her head on his shoulder, "So eat, then you're going to lay down with me and sleep. You have no say in it." She tilted her head down, placing her lips on his shoulder.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x291/Foxpelt/run%20away%20dear/thorbg.png');,true][cs=2] I DON'T UNDERSTAND | [atrb=width,270] He smiled quietly at her when she said she just needed his protection. He knew she was teasing him and not saying the truth, but he didn't want to see that. He didn't want to think that she might actually like him. 'Maybe though, I can make her fall in love with me,' he thought, he already knew it was wrong, he couldn't make anyone fall in love if it wasn't meant to be, but he wanted so bad to feel that love. He was dead set on his mission, not even wondering if maybe she wanted a say in his forceful romance. If he could just win her heart... that would be enough.
"Alright," he said as he ate the strips of meat. He ate his little snack, which he nibbled on only because his stomach was particularly queasy and he wasn't sure if it would stay down. This would happen sometimes to him, if he shifted too much at once like he had, his whole system was on edge. He managed to eat a could of strips of the meat and he picked out a few tart berries, and after the fifth tart berry he gave up his berry russian roulette. He set the bags down and stood up. Only his bones hurt now. He smothered the fire with a sack of sand he'd had already prepared from this morning, and tossed the rest of the rabbits to the wolves, who ate quietly. He smiled at his proteges. He had raised them from pups, right after the bombing he'd taught them to hunt. He had raised them into a successful pair and was proud of their independence from him. They would now spend anywhere from days to weeks apart from him, only returning in circumstances, like this one, to help him out.
He watched the fire die and he hobbled with Anna over to the furs. He lay down and a whoof of air left his lungs. His eyes were drowsy and he couldn't deny he needed sleep. He looked at Anna and he gently pulled her down next to him. He made sure she had a soft pillowy form of furs to rest her head on. He had been so used to no furs that he didn't like them, in fact he'd never much cared for pillows. "Wake me up if the world ends," he whispered with a smile before he drifted off to sleep.

Anna watched as he continued to eat and stood up when he stood up. "You know I could have done that." She frowned. She didn't want him to over work himself so soon after he had been hurt. She followed him to lay down and let him pull her down next to him. "I will, go to sleep." She smiled as she watched him drift off to bed and she cuddled closer to his chest, taking advantage of the warmth that his skin put off. She quickly fell asleep, even though she didn't feel tired. Her body was probably just tired from everything that had happened in the short hour or so that she had been awake.
A few hours later, she awoke, still cuddled into his chest. She didn't know if he was awake yet and if he wasn't she didn't want to wake him up, so she just laid there, closing her eyes and thinking. She moved her hand over his chest, letting her eyes open and study his chest. She just realized that he was naked. Had he been naked the whole time? She hadn't even noticed. Well, maybe she had. She just wasn't worried about him being naked. She was more worried about him being dead.
She leaned up on her elbow slowly, "Are you awake?" She leaned down, her face an inch away from his, a smile plastered on her face, "The world is ending," her voice was a half whisper, half laugh.

"It can't be ending if your here to save me!!" he said suddenly and he reached for her and started tickling her. He smiled and stopped, kissing her forehead softly. "Thank you, Kæri(shah-dah), for protecting me in my slumber." He smiled softly and focused on his bones, they were sore and would be for a while, but at least he could move without wincing. "We should move further into the building, I don't like us so exposed to the outfaced wall, plus it will make the nights colder with these windows and the giant gaping hole in the wall," he pointed out. He moved to the left side of the room where the door to the main building was jammed shut.
The floor boards creaked and the wolves perked their ears, sensing something was up. He turned the nob, which popped off and it rolled away from the force of his grip and he watched it roll in a circle before stopping. Well he'd just have to unhinge the door. He tried to think of an animal he'd imprinted on that had the tools he needed. No cat or canine, Raccoon might but they were small. Bear! He shifted, moaning a little at the pain, which half way sounded like him and halfway like a bear. He messed around with the hinges pushing from under the hinge and biting the top and pulling up with his teeth. It took some working but he got the one undone and the door creaked, immediately he stepped back. He listened to what might be on the other side and heard nothing. He undid the second one with a little more effort and was finally onto the tallest hinge when the door gave way to rocks. He stepped back and watched them roll threw. there weren't many and he made sure the ones that did get by didn't get too close to Anna. He peaked around the door and noticed that that was the extent of the avalanche. He swung the destroyed door open, which creaked in a bent way. He looked at Anna and then headed threw the portal of the unknown. She wouldn't like it he already knew, but he had to if they were to survive, Besides, if he could somehow get them in a more enclosed space that would keep things warmer.
He watched his step, they place was actually kind of pretty. Sunlight escaped threw the cracked roof of the building, even though there were several levels, and plants were already starting to grow. There was a little water, but it was still and not trustworthy to drink from. He traveled on the small stairwell that led downwards to the first level. Dust had collected enough to now be called dirt and the cement had turned almost into rocks, crummy rocks but hey, he wasn't complaining. He looked around and noticed a door. He sniffed the air and stood on his hind legs, if anything threatening were in here it would more than likely leave at the sight of him. He walked around, exploring it lightly. He didn't know if he trusted it, he didn't see any other exits but the one they came from and the one threw the ceiling, which would be impossible for Anna to use, unless she could fly as well. He would have to decide whether or not to trust the enclosed area or decide to take her else where. He shifted and said, "What do you think?" He kicked a rock with his bare foot and it went tumbling into the vast emptiness.

She smiled as his eyes popped open and he pushed her down. She started laughing, trying to push his hands away. She smiled as he kissed her forehead, "Ohh what does that one mean?" She was so curious as to all these words he kept calling her. She had finally found out what the first one was. Kitten. He had called her his kitten. She nodded, "Okay, let's go then!" she stood up, following him towards the door, standing back a little bit. she didn't want to get in his way or anything. She watched as he changed, cringing a little when he heard him moan in pain. "Be careful..." She watched as he opened the door, a little impressed at his bear form.
Once it was open, she followed him through the door slowly. She never liked going this deep into the building but he was right. If they were going to stay in this building, they had to be deeper in and more protected. also warmer. She had been freezing the night before, her only source of heat was him and she had kept moving away, not wanting to let herself get too close to him physically or mentally. She took a moment to look around the room when he asked what she thought, "I like it." She continued to look around, the artist in her becoming more and more happy.
Before the bombing she had been a pretty well known artist around New York. It wasn't like she was making enough money to live off of but she had a few gallery showings, things like that. "I like it a lot." A smile appeared on her face as she let her eyes follow the beams of light. she finally looked away from the building to look at him and she walked closer towards him. She let her eyes meet his, a smirk on her lips. "Let's stay here."

He walked around cautiously, the wolves filing in and sniffing around, marking the fresh territory. He walked further in and focused on the door again. He walked closer and scoped it out. It looked like an old janitors closest, "No monsters in here." He smiled and thought it would be a perfect place to sleep. He pulled out what ever had been in the closet, there was a decaying yellowish box, filled with spiders. He dropped it immediately and jumped back. He shook his hand and grabbed at Ulf's scruff when he went to attack the yellow thing. Black widows crawled out of the box and began to scatter. Ulf whimpered at the pressure on his neck and he picked up the wolf and started to back off. Ok probably a bad idea in there. He shivered, he hoped he didn't get any on him, one bite could kill him, or would it? Thats the thing with shapeshifting, you never knew if those things could kill you or not.
"Umm, lets avoid that area," he said. Still not feeling safe from those spiders. Ran had instantly picked up on the fact that the yellow box was not safe and she was staying beside Anna as a sort of protector.
Thor looked around, there was another door and he hopped it was just as small and NOT filled with spiders. He opened it and looked around. It was slightly bigger, bu not by much. It looked like it must have been an office bc it had a broken desk in it and what looked like an old chair that mice and eaten. He wheeled the thing out and the wheels broke and it pitched forward. He laughed at how old it was and looked at Anna, "They don't make things like they used to!" He tossed it by the yellow box and he kicked the wheels out of the room. Ran attacked one playfully and bounded off with her prize in her mouth. Ulf trotting after her.
The desk would be more difficult, it looked like years of termite damage had done away with most of it. He pulled it out chunks at a time. Mice darted from the room and the wolves had a feast with them. Thor felt bad though when he saw the little baby mice with it's mom trying valiantly to protect it. He picked up the old drawer it was in and walked it out and emptied it gently by a pile of concrete and the ran around puffing scared. He made Ulf and Ran stay away, they were confused but they did as he said. When he got the rest of it out of there there was just wood chips left, and his furs could cover that. He left the wolves to their game of cat and mouse and he headed back to the main room to collect their supplies. He smiled at Anna, "Kæri means dearest one," he said still smiling as he walked back up the weird makeshift stairs into their old room.

She jumped up, standing on the rock as the spiders crawled out of the box, "Eh, I don't like spiders." she looked around, making sure that there was none near her before stepping down from the rock. she smiled towards his pet, reching her arm out to pet the wolf. She wasn't sure which one this one was, but she liked them regardless. "Yeah.. let's avoid that area.." She smiled at him, watching as he emptied out the other room, throwing out pieces of wood.
Anna felt bad that she sat there as he did everything. She had been raised to think that she should be the one cooking and cleaning and there he was, doing it all. When he headed up the stairs, she followed him, taking them two at a time to keep up with him, "Does that mean I'm dear to you?" She had waited until they had reached the top of the stairs to reply to his statement. She stopped in front of him, tilting her head to the side and smiling up at him. she let her face soften into an endearing look before shooting him a sly smirk and turning around, "Anything you need help with?"
She didn't wait for him to answer before picking up the furs that they had slept on, "I'm going to go make a bed." She smiled at him before heading back down the stairs and laying it the furs out on the floor in the small room without the spiders. She wasn't about to sleep anywhere near those spiders. Plus, she had to feel like she was doing something to help and making a bed was helping right?
